new UL or L rod

So I am trying to decide on an affordable Light or Ultra Light spinning rod.
And on lenght as well.

I see Okuma has their 8'6" Celilo in UL, and looks tempting but wanted to get other opinions.

I like a 7'6 phenix rod or anything over 7 feet is a solid stick. I havent fished the celios much but I did start out fishing the jigs with a 7 foot diawa spinimatic and that was a decent stick.

you should pick both the 7 and 8 and see how they balance in your hands. I personally like the way a 7'6'' rod loads and flexes when working a mini jig.
