    Default Balboa lake goldfish

I went around the corner to Balboa lake today for a couple of hours in search of some carp. I was soaking some corny dough and was not disappointed.
Tackle was a size 2000 reel with 4# on a 7'6" rod and a size 12treble with some home made dough.

    HOOK-UPP...

The release back into the drink...

They're some pretty hard fighters with long runs and fun on light line.
    Till next fish....

Carp are really ugly, but I bet they fight pretty well. Looks like a nice one.

Awesome report, love the pics, and a beautiful fish too.

Do you use a bite indicator?

Thank you! I post up next to the rod and loosen the drag so that the fish takes the bait and makes a good long 1st run.

The tilapia are fun too! For the dough, I took the basics and kinda ran with it. You can use corn, and bread too.
