Default Castaic, Christmas Eve all day

My friend Maimon wanted to go out and catch a lot of fish, so we planned a full day of bait and wait with Maimon's son Jonathan.

The day went very well. We anchored on our chosen spot on the first attempt and started catching fish right away.

We planned to take pictures at the ramp but my cell phone battery died before we got there.

Jonathan kept careful count of the fish throughout the day. We ended the day having caught 37 striper form 1 1/2 lb to 4 lb 4 oz. We kept 30 fish, all but 5 of them were 2 lb plus.

I charged my battery when I got home and took this artistic picture of the ones I kept.

    Here's a picture of my 2 biggest.

Maimon is a great competitor, for a while I worried that he would beat me on quantity, He had a 6 fish lead on me. I pulled it together at the end of the day and managed to tie him.
