I hated seeing Figgins go, too. I didn't think Arte would pay to keep Lackey, with all the Big Dollar teams nosing around. Vladdie has been hard to watch for a couple years, he is definitely in physical pain a majority of the time.
The Angels' farm system will keep the team competitive, I'm sure. World Series-competitive, dunno as to that. I do enjoy how Scioscia manages and drives his players.
Now all we need to do is trade Rivera for a 4th or 5th starter type and sign Damon, then we will have a better left fielder, some stolen bases to make of for the loss of Figgy, a lead-off hitter and the 2007 Yankees outfield. Let's do it.
