    Default SARL Opener 11-5-09 ....... blow by blow

    Quick update:
    6:00 am = 20+ cars in line.
    As I'm setting up I see fish jumping close to shore.
    7:30 = I hook up on a 6 lb sturgeon with powerbait and 3 lb test...... fun 10 min battle. Released.
    7:45 = bobber goes flying.......missed it. (Typing)
    7:45 - 11:00 = only one trout landed as far as the eyes can see (10:45)
    11:01 = I finally land a small trout on garlic powerbait.
    After the one trout caught............NOTHING!
    A couple of nibbles and I decided to pack up and left at 2:30.

    Sorry I don't have a pic of the sturgeon, a kid next to me took a pic with my phone and I sat it down, then a text came through and wiped out the pic before I could save it.

    I shouldn't went with my gut feeling as I was driving down to SARL and continued on down to Corona.

    Oh well I needed the peace and quiet of a nice day.
