Cabrillo Beach Pier Catching 9/26

Fished Cabrillo pier today with Hbomb, my bro, and my dad. We got there early hoping for the morning bonita bite... The bonita was nowhere to be found but the barracuda and Lizard fish fishing was on.









Also caught some pile perch, Cabezon?, sandbass, halibut, mackerel, tomcod...










This kid is gonna be a great fisherman one day. He was the pier deckhand today.

That kid is going to be awesome fisherman one day, he said he had 3 yrs of experience then he said he had 8 yrs. LOL. when he caught the mackeral his line was zipping and he started shouting HELP HELP HELP MEEEEEEEE..... , that was funny.... it was a great day out.

Nice work on the cudas, looked like a lot of fun. That lizardfish would make for good striper bait up north.

LOL...yeah that was funny. couldnt reel in his mackerel...If you didnt know ish about fishing...you would believe every word he said. "you know if its a yellowtail if the two fins are seperate...yeah thats a yellowtail" LMAO

Thanks, Ive caught legal cudas and some nice sized bonita off that pier in the past. Its usually on in October.
