I wouldn't dump all your gear just yet, unless you just really don't want to fish anymore. There are bluefish runs and stripers along the coast and in the rivers and bays of NYC. Just do a google search on fishing in New York City, I think you'll be surprised at what you find.

Yeah, You should hold onto your fishing gear and fish in NY. It would be to have some fishing reports from NY.
