It's definately bling-bling fishing when you go to the OC. I never see that much pizzazz when I fish the Rockies or the San Juans.

    Just sayin'.....maybe I just got rod-envy as I fish $20 Kencors. I dunno.
What you described is a small portion of the business that keeps that lake afloat, just a it represents a small portion of the trout angling community as a whole...nice generalization though.

You got a $20 kencore for sale? Please bring it Friday evening and I will gladly take it off your hands for $25.....wait what kind of rod envy were you talking about Rich?

The only way you'll get my Kencor is if you pry it out of my cold dead hand.

Think positive. Think of the fee increase as an expedited way for you to get the points for that private fishing party for 4 w/ BBQ and pontoon!!

The fees are all ready high enough to keep the riff-raff out .

Not everyone in Orange County is wealthy Rich. Its a small % compaired to the rest of the population.

And what % of those wealthy goes fishing at Irvine Lake? Smaller yet.

You might as well develop the land next door to the lake ( James Production Co. leases the land form the Irvine Co. ) and build Million dallar lake front homes and make the lake private . Then only the small % of the wealthy can fish the lake and that would be it as far as we know of Irvine Lake.

That is not very far off in the near future folks

Is this the same development Castaway put a deposit for a house? I'm sure he'll invite you on his private dock.

Bigger question for you Patrick: When you got your picture taken with Mickey Mouse at Disneyland, did the guy INSIDE the suit smile?????

Rich, Your very funny. Maybe you should quit your day job and become a stand up comedian.

    Yes, I live in O.C.
Yes, I do have a 1 year old truck
I still owe 5 more years of payments on it.

I have not fished since April of this year.

How does that add up to me being wealthy ?
