    Default Zuma Beach with Team57

Lets start off with an intro video...I just noticed what song was on when I shot this

After the trip through Kanan road I finally hit PCH and made my way to the end of Zuma just shy of 7am and met up with some of the guys...

I got my gear together and greeted Wingnut and Dana while getting signed up for the day's events. To my surprise Arthur starts to unload a bounty of unexpected surf fishing goodies upon check in ....a kroc, LC, bags of Gulp! products, tape measure, plus all terminal gear I would need for the day. I know I have already told you, but thank you again for the awesome tackle pack Arthur

The "Sir Lancelot of FNN" Pontoon greets the "Duke of North Hollywood" NohoArt....two great guys I have had the pleasure of becoming good friends with because of FNN and Team57

After getting my gear together and signing up for the touney, I headed for the water and bumped into the FNN's "Court Jester" Trollmeister showing off what he called his "high dollar" rig

    Kelpfish on the first cast!

Dana and the ConejoKid were dailed in on the perch before most of us even got wet! Fisherman57 definitely knows his surf fishing, that or maybe Donna is that much of a good luck charm...perhaps a bit of both? Ya know I was looking at this picture and it kinda looks like Pat is either giving Pirate "Sir Lucas" a "BA" or just trying to get his attention, hence the screen name "Mr. Bendo" Pat?

J/K Patrick it was great seeing you out there, glad you make it out...hope to see you soon.

Legend Santa Fe Eric aka "The Easy E" of Team57 graced us with his presence, what a cool dude....and he loves to give people hugs too!

NoHoArt in midseason form casting into the suds...

Back at the barn I notice Wingnut getting wrestless and it looks like Poseiden's nephew is going to show us how its done! Not 15 minutes after this shot a 21" hali fell to the deadly LC...see I told you I knew where they stocked them Arthur!

Meanwhile back at the beach Farmy, Bones and Big Red representing the Pirate Crew had a strong foothold in the sand...great seeing you guys!

    Mo...Curly...Larry!

    HOOK -up!!!!

Lotsa laughs when you fish with NoHo...

"so whats your sign handsome?" ------->Trollmeister!!!!

Of course times flies too fast when you're fishing with friends...I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to chat with everyone. I am especially sorry I didn't know Mikey was "Exfactor" here on the board, had I know that at the time I would have liked to personally thank you for helping MaV and I on that Sunday when we were having boat troubles at NPH.

We wrapped up the day enjoying tri tip sandwiches ala Trolly, booing Kewlwhip for showing up at the end of the event (hey you showed up though!), telling jokes and enjoying the awards ceremony...congrats to all the winners! Actually I should say congrats to the award winners, because we were all winners on Saturday...Arthur, Dana, Donna and of course Wingnut Pug saw to that.

So I said goodbye to my buddys and headed down PCH to enjoy the ride down the coast. I usually take Kanan Rd, but the light was flasing red in both directions so I continued on towards Las Virgenes Road. I was in awe as I approached Pepperdine University and had to take a picture of the tribute honoring the victims of 911...may you ALWAYS be remembered.

Pictures do not do this tribute justice, it is something you really needed to see in person...

I got back to the valley and stopped at ScaryCary's house on the way to my folks to share a brew or two, exchange fish stories, chat about the event and share a few of the things I had learned that day. I know he was bummed he couldn't join us, but personal reasons kept him from attending. My buddy looked a little down and I wanted to cheer him up, so I surprised him with the next best thing to attending an event...THE TEAM57 OFFICIAL EVENT T-SHIRT!!!

Thanks again to team57 for Saturday, hope to see you out on the water soon!
