Definitely go with the Daiwa 50th Anniversary Zillion, especially now that it is the same price as a Fuego at Tackle Warehouse. A 7.3:1 ratio is much better than a 6.3:1 for pitching and jigs.

Default So a 5.0:1 ratio isn't so good?

That's what's on my Stella's ... supposed to be a very good reel.

Not as good as a 7.3:1 for flipping or pitching, but perfect for drophotting or the shakey head rig.

    Default Daiwa Reels

I have them both and if I had to choose one at the price point I would go with the Zillion 50th annverisary cost the same as the fuego more bearing count and is a limited edition reel for the same price. Also higher gear ratio.

Also the Stella is a spinning reel, as you know already. Has anyone done any pitching or flipping with a spinning reel before?

Also I would rather get the Zillion as well. I just don't like the color of either reel.
