Default Late Corona 24hr Limits 9-11-09

since corona/sarl had those coupons out i decided to give the 24hr a try and ended up with a nice limit. all caught on mack carolina rigged. the larger fish came later on in the night.

not many people at the lake, didnt have to fight anyone for a spot etc... water is way low. missed a ton of bites!!! due to stupid things like forgetting to close the bail before setting the hook! or forgetting to tighten the drag, also slipping in the mud trying to get to the rods. what a pita! should have hooked into at least 10+ fish during that time. luckily things worked out for us later. once the bite started to get wfo for me the guys next to me kept casting over me. as i would unhook fish they would cast into my spot and fish it until i was ready to cast back out... i snagged into their lines several times while i was on fish too. but i still managed to get the fish in so it didnt bother me that much.

weighed my limit at 6am when the tackle shop opened and the older guy who works it said its the first 24hr limit hes seen in awhile. largest fish was 3.5# with a few 3# and a bunch of 2.75# fish. total weight was 31.5#. decent quality fish, compared to the TINY cats i've caught this year at the vine. bad year of catfishing for me.

    thanks for reading.
