    when you pause the sammys are they supposed to stand straight up and down.

    There is a weight in the tail section to assist with "walking the dog" so in answer to your question, no, it will sit nose up, tail down.

    yes, they do sit straight up and down. which i do not believe is a "natural" look for a baitfish crippled on the surface. i think spooks and reaction innovations vixens sit much more level than any of the sammys (regardless of size). i've drilled one out and moved the tail ball slightly forward in the chamber and glued it in place. it helped a little, but my spooks and vixens are still more level on the float. (now everyone can talk about the attention to detail on the lucky craft (the am. shad is awesome) and about the eight pounder they caught on it, but i'm sticking by my statements).
