Default 09-09-09 Great day for a boil

After about two months away, it was time to hit the bass lake that gives me a good chance at above average size bass. So my son Chad(DesertFishen3) and I hit the lake at 6:30am and by 10 we had 4 or 5 small bass . Things looked bad. I was begininning to think i forgot how to fish DVL . But as we started into the quarry we saw action on the surface, once in the quarry we could see about a 1/3 of the quarry was boiling in a frenzy . LET THE FUN BEGIN ! From 10am to noon we boated 40 to 45 large mouths from 2.8 lbs to 4.14 lbs(thats over 100lbs of bass ) . Just after noon the action went dead. But after several double hookups with 4lb+ bass who really cares.

Heres a few of our 4 lb+.(after we caught the first 5 we realized we were wasting time with pictures when we could be fishing)

This was the only spot we saw boils and we were in several other coves.

Finding boils out there just seems to be "pot luck". Some days they are on the point, some days in the backs of coves, some days in the quarry. You know how fishing goes. They never seems to be in the same place twice. Neat report and pics. Info from the "jewel" is hard to come by. That place is lonely!!!!

    Default Boils

I was there yesterday, 9/9/09 I was working the points near the saddle dam and the fish came up way out from the west point, they were up and down, I had to put the jerk bait on the boils to get bit, I got several before I moved off looking for a better spot, which I never found! Glad you guys hammered them, Marshhawk

WOOOOOOOOOW! Way to slay the largemouths, 2 hours of non stop action.
