Quick Zuma Report

Hit up the surf at zuma. Got a little lazy after a while and started perch fishin.




Hooked into a shovelnose and had quite a fight. It was a little guy but on 6 pound it was fun. Also I guess I snagged him because he was hooked on his back. Seems like a pretty unlikely event. I had a #6 hook into a big fake sand crab, cant believe i fouled him.






A face only a mother could love..



And now for the real monster! Caught a couple little guys and called it a day.

Looks like a fun day in the surf. Those Shovelnose are fun on light gear and the Perch never fails to delight. Thanks for the report, I'll be in that part of the neighborhood in a couple of weeks.
