Need some MORE advice :)

I'm leaving Mammoth EARLY tomorrow morning, and headed north to Tahoe. I'd like to stop somewhere along the way (up the 395) to fish. So, any suggestions on a good place to fsih for a couple of hours off the 395, somewhere between the June Lake turnoff and the tahoe turnoff?

I've never fished bridgeport....good choice for shore fishing?

Your suggestions would be appreciated!

I drove that route a few days ago, I passed quite a few fishermen along the west walker where it runs next to the 395 after the hwy 208 turn off past bridgeport. Parts of it looked like real good water to fish, the river was wide open, not crowded at all.
