Steve, can you tell us what type of tackle you used to catch them albies.
Nice job dude...you got your share of the fish landed on the trip, wtg!

thanks for the report , were the albies hitting chovies over the dines ? thanks for the pics

Since all the fish being caught right now is scratch fishing here is a few tips I used and got bit on.
Trolling feathers used
1 Party feather (pink, orange, yellow, green, white) I let others use my rig on their rotation for 5 fish. (4 Albies and 1 YT)
I caught 2 Albies on a Black and purple Catchy Tackle...The smallest size...
As soon as a trolling rig went off I got either tossed a megabait out or a dine...and got bit three times but lost 1.
The whole trip I never used anything less then 30# with 28# Flouro...2/0 flyliners...
So an Avet SX with 20# mono top and 65# spectra should be a tiring and fun adventure...
Yeah I personally wouldnt fish with less then 25#. If the fish get in a feeding frenzy then I'd fish 40#-50# all day......Originally Posted by Funjunkie74
I wish I had bought that Avet JX....
Oh well, the good ol' Penn GS545 is gonna have to work! It's only got 30# on it but I guess I'll just have to be a little bit smoooth~!
Boat leaves in 5 hours....man this is gonna be the longest wait....
