Dvl 8-2-2009
Yup, was a good day all in all for shore fishing at DVL. Got out there at 6:00, left at 4:30 ish. Got a total of 9 LMB all from the island on the east end, worked it from the east side all the way around to the west. The smallest was approx. 1#, the largest right around 2-3#.
Is the water low enough now to walk out to the little island by the east dam?

It's not dropping as fast as it was but it's down there. You can easily walk out to the island near the east dam.
Another big problem is weeds, lot's of weeds along the whole shoreline. So if you plan on fishing from shore be prepared to work around, through or over weeds.
Drop right on the outside edge of the weeds, or in the pockets, thats where I am pulling them, or bringing a topwater right over the top of the pockets.
