Default Whaddya tink of the new GLoom rod?

I thought it was interesting that they say it's a SoCal rod. I'm not much of an expert on rods. I do have a half a dozen or more of their rods but had a question. Is it really gonna give me a longer rod than what I have if there is so much handle below the reel?

Looks like a "Loyd rod" to me.
for jiggin' them socal stocked triploid trouts on mini jigs.
    Would prolly work good.

A lot of freshwater rod grips extend to 10-15" no matter how much blank is actually exposed.

I've always liked Loomis rods and still do. Nothing wrong with a classic grip and their guides are wrapped very well. Never had one "move" or make noises...
