MDR Rpt. 7/17 - 7/18 w-pics

[Red Drum]

Went out and did a twilight trip on Friday 7/17 with Yen “flyfisher” aboard the “Big Drum” in the Santa Monica Bay.

The Bass were on a good chew. Here is Yen with a nice Sand Bass and Calico Bass.



At around 10pm we headed for the launch ramp where I met up with Jason “scrib”. Jason and I camped out on the boat and fished for most of the day on Saturday 7/18.

Here is a Jason with a Shovelnose Guitarfish aka “Wiggles”.

We targeted Triggerfish for awhile and caught quite a few.


Here is Jason with a Triggerfish that got bit by something on the way to the boat.

Rock Wrasse.


Went out later in the morning and scored on some nice Rockfish for taco meat.
Vermilion Rockfish.

Striped Rockfish.


Had another nice trip out on the big pond, can’t wait to go again. HOOK-UP!!

Fantastic pics!!! I have NEVER, i repeat, NEver seen anyone but you guys catch triggers! WTF?!?!??! Cool as hell tho-They make GREAT ceviche!
