Another strange surf find...
You probably saw my post about finding that tuna on Crystal Cove Beach a few days ago. Well, today, in west Newport I find this...
About a 30 pound or so baby thresher! I guess the rough weather lately is rough on the fish too?? Now, if I could just find these things when they are still alive, in the water and ready to bite, then I'd have something... :wink:

yea i bet these weird weather changes and that surge from the arctic has really screwed up the chain.
whats the rope arounds its tail for?

Yeah that's just a piece of kelp. I didn't want to touch the decomposing old thing to move that for the picture. That didn't have anything to do with it coming up on the beach, just happens to be there.
shows how much i know about ocean life. :lol:
