The Parchers gang were escorted up the canyon this afternoon. All structures are intact, and no apparent loss of life or other buildings. It was VERY scary for them, as they didn't know if their livelihood / future would be there.
Jared, Evan, Lane, all the staff at BCL & Cardinal Village, Rick at Sabrina - I'm glad you're all safe.

Greg - that was my boyfriends daughter, Kaitlin, who posted the number, she was on the phone with them every couple of hours the last 3 days getting updates and information and it kept most of us sane the last few days. As she said, her parents honeymooned up there and she spent all her summers up there - I know how much it pained me to see what was happening and I've only been going up a couple of years, I can't imagine what Gator and KT went through and felt what they were possibly losing after 20 odd years.
Nor can I imagine not only what Jared and the gang at Parchers were going through, but everyone else mentioned in the first paragraph.

I just thank goodness that everyone is safe and accounted for, and that Parchers, BCL, Cardinal Village et al will be here for the forseeable future.

My brother's Hotshots crew were up fighting this fire. I will have to forward pics of some of the trout he caught in Bishop Creek on one of their few breaks. I asked him "weren't you supposed to be working?" They actually ran the truck in to Bishop and bought a few rods at K Mart and some crickets. No wonder he has so many damn fishing combos. Im' gonna have to get him one to stash in the rig.

Gotta love it... That's my bro!

The folks up at Lake Sabrina were nice enough to put a pic of his team up on their website. See link, Little Tujunga Hotshots. He is on the far right.

Cool. He, my brother and I grew up together. Several twists and turns have found him learning to work on a forestry crew.
