    Big Bass,

    Welcome to the board.

Our impoundments in Southern California do not come natural. They are usually man made. Because we're pretty much in a desert, 'honey holes' are far and between, and the majority of our fishing is one at major reservoirs. Depending from what part of the SoCal region ( i notice that you are from San Diego), these major impoundments are pretty easy to come by.

San Diego has a bunch of quality lakes that hold fish. From Barret, to Hodges, to El Capitan...Upper Otay, Lower Otay, San Vicente, Murray, Miramar, Sutherland, Wohlford, Dixon, Poway, Jennings, Morena, Cuyamaca, and Henshaw.

    Good luck out there.

    Welcome to the boards.

There's plenty of LMB fishing here in SD to be done....you don't need a "secret spot", just a willingness to explore on your own, which is far more rewarding, IMHO.
