Default Bluegill explosion at DVL! (4th of July)

Went fishing with my pops at DVL in search of the bigger model Bluegills we've been hearing about and might I say the trip was very productive. All in all we both had 100+ bluegills, 2 fat stocker trouts~ 3lbs, one small bass. While fishing for the little Bluegills we did see some tanker size carps over 30lbs, but did not find any that would comit. Fished until 2 due to the scorching temp- 100 degrees! But left with 20 gills' in various sizes.

Average size, but there were a few of them in the 3" range LOL!

    Stocker

    same one

    Bigger model

    Cooler shot

    My PB

Was 10" and pulled drag like crazy!

This was all I kept, gave the rest to friends

    Thanks for reading - Ifishtoolittle

Well the smallest ones were on the surface, boiling. THe larger models I would say about 30'- 40' (estimation) we forgot to bring our fish finder because my dad was going to rent a bass boat at first, but a pontoon rental opened up when we got there.

How'd you like the pontoon? Did you anchor up to catch your fish? Our only problem was the wind, blew us all over the lake.
