    Default Carlsbad Kelp 7/3

    Went out Friday with the family just South of Carlsbad Kelp. According to Helgren's, the bite slowed with the clouds lately. We got a few keepers, biggest Calico 2'11oz (nice on a bass rod). A ton of macs, and several small cudas. Fun on light gear. May go out next week with warmer weather. Hopefullly the topwater bite will get up here, if not, may launch in SD.
