Lodging deals
Hey all,
Has anyone heard of the economic impact on lodging in the Eastern Sierras?
With the tough economy and limited funds, we should try to do business with motels and resorts who will cut us a break to stay viable. This option will ensure the survival of these resorts and the economic survival of the businesses that rely on them. Many of us, myself included, have limited funds to begin with. For others, you get a bargain in the process. I think it's a win/win situation. Any thoughts on this idea or any info to share. If possible, use names of hotels/motels/etc. and new vs. old prices.
Tight lines,

i stayed in bishop a couple weeks ago and judging by the amount of motels that were full, i'd say it hasn't hit them much.

Good 'ol Bishop was busier and more bustling than I'd ever seen. Was it AAA that said due to economic factors people were expected to do cheaper thing for vacations like camping/fishing. So, where one is lacking, Bishop might be benefitting in some ways and making out OK. Just my 2 cents.
