    Default Mirage SBI 7/22/07

Went out on a charter with the Candy Catchers crew aboard the Mirage. The boat was already loaded with live squid. We started out at SBI, and dropped down the squid. Minutes later few people were on the yellows. I got slammed hard and line peeled off like I've never seen it before. I was a little worried that my sealine was undergunned. After several long runs I finally get him to color. Ended up being my pb yellowtail.

    He wouldn't stay still

Ended up weighing just under 32#s.

I ended up getting another one, about 25#s. This time it was much easier. I switched up to my avet and had no problems. Yellows were being landed and lost left and right. We lost about 25 to seals and pop offs.

Biggest YT of the day went to Mike (Flipper) at 34#s.

    Isaac with another biggee.

Fat 13# Goat caught by a youngster

    Days end bounty

Total for me was 2YT, and 1 Lingcod. The boat total was 26 yt.

He got it on whole squid, we weren't trying for rockfish. Incidental bycatch
