Default fav rod / reel $$$

my fav rod/reel is the $29.99 special at your local k/walmart. these combos are great and they even come spool with line already! but seriously some of you cats have some serious gear and if i had the $$$ i'd be using it too. but even with this combo I still catch fish and have a kick *** time doing it... peace out

I thought I was the only one that uses shimano rods/daiwa baitcast reels
my favorite is 7'' med shimano compre crankin rod /daiwa procaster-z for crankbaits, topwaters, jerkbait and lipless crankbaits. A 6'10''med/heavy shimano clarus rod/team daiwa reel
for pitching jigs, senkos, flipping tube baits and throwing spinnerbaits.

My favorite at the moment is my St. Croix Mojo Bass Wacky-Style Spinning, 6'8" Medium extra fast, with a Penn Affinity AF 2000 and ten pound Fireline smoke. Dainty and light enough to feel the lightest bite, yet tough enough to pull up the nastiest fish (or snag, lol!). Plus it casts like a dream.
