    Default Your favorite rod/reel setup?

What is everyone's favorite rod/reel in their arsenal?

Out of my 5 setups, each for a different type of fishing, i LOVE my shimano/daiwa baitcasting set.

    Rod:
    Shimano Convergence
    Model: CVC66MHA
    Length: 6'6"
    Power: Medium Heavy
    Action: Fast
    Line Rating: 10-20
    Lure Rating: 1/4-3/4
    Pieces: 1
    Guide Number: T+7

    Reel:
    Daiwa Megaforce 100TSH

This was my first baitcaster and i love it, super sensitive rod, super controllable, and the reel is super smooth and the 7.1:1 ratio makes is perfect for throwing cranks and small swims.

Ha ha... I too fish a diawa reel with a shimano rod.

    Shimano Crucial 7'2'' M Spinning
    XF action
    1/8-3/8 lure weight
    6-12lb line

    Diawa Sol 2500

This is my DS set up of course...

But in the sierras, my favorite combo is:

    Kencor 73 PAC rod
    and
    Diawa Fuego 2000

    Favorite combo of them all..
Customized Daiwa Sol on Gloomis GL2 6' medium fast CR722 12lb Ande clear
My go anywhere do just about anything featherweight baitcaster combo
Although for big cranks, spinnerbaits, frogs and jigs I like something a bit heavier but that's one hell of a hardbait combo for jerks or cranks and feels killer.

Only thing that would feel better to me is a GL2 with the same action in 7 feet.

I have lots of other mid range rods and reels but that one feels the best to me.

Caught my PB 8lb bass on this rod too with a customized crank. It was freakin bent over like no tomorrow! haha

One rod wouldn't satisify my needs. If I had to pick one different rod for each place i'm fishing at? =p

Shimano Core and G.Loomis BCR802 GLX.
Shimano Stella FD 2500 and G.Loomis SJR782S IMX.

Shimano and G.Loomis are best in class.

If i have to pick one ,my powell 3wt fly rod, with my swichback reel. I use it 75% of the time year round at the pudd hole, when the bass are slow ,and i have to fish ,for pan fish and trout.. I have a lot of setups for certain applications ,in fresh and salt water in shore ,and like them equally.
