    Default Blue Coppernose Bluegill

Some of these fish look like tropical aquarium fish! I really wonder what makes them get so blue. They look really healthy and fight great.

Naw... That BG is not a big fish, but it does have the unique coloration that makes it a memorable catch. Now that I have this photo, I can paint any fiberglass Bluegill reproduction "blank" that color, not that anyone will believe that was the true color. They'll say.. "Bluegill are not that color! That taxidermist doesn't know how to paint Bluegills!" And hey troutdog... Bluegill whisperer? Huh?
