has anyone used the lip ripperz trout worms, they seem similar to powerbait worms and i am just wondering how they work up in the sierras and what colors work. thanks alot.

lipripperz is a deadly lure in the sierras, orange & candycane are my go to colors, i use about 2 inches of the worm on a 1/32 round jig head & i'll use the whole worm with a split shot (go to the lipripperz site for rigging instructions). if you have any questions on the quality of fish you can catch with them go to the roadrash, netboy & hunters post.

Do they float? and is it possible to thread it like a real worm?

And the real question...does it work better then a live worm?

Curious, never used plastic or similar type bait for trout.

when we use the whole worm we use a worm threader, it makes the task of getting the hook in the middle of the worm much faster. yes they do float.

Power worms are the way to go in the Sierras, much better action and easier to rig.
