On the map it looks like it is between me and Dallas. So north about 2-3 hours from me.

We had a great time at galveston. We have gone to Sea Wolf Park a couple of times. Much more child friendly just because the way the pier is built. My little girl can't fall through. You should have seen her out there it was amazing! I was helping my 10 year old at that time nine put his shrimp on and my pole was in the water. She started yelling mommy mommy you got a bite. I told her to hang on. She wasn't going to wait. She picked up that big pole set the hook and started reeling it in. It was beautiful! I went to help her and she didn't want any part of that. She ended up brining in a 2lb blue channel cat. It was a great night. Everyone caught something and to see the smiles on my childrens faces when they brought something in no matter how big or how small is PRICELESS! We went with some friends to San Luis Pass. That is where we were catching Sea Trout. There were hundreds all over. Wherever there was a light you could see them all sitting there. Everytime our shrimp hit the water we were bringing something inand they were all good size. We have to get back!

one_leg,
I hate to tell pinkfisher girl she is going to have a hard time getting my daughter's bait net. She protects that thing with all she has and she is pretty tough!! My son's, husband and I don't even try to use it to get our bait. She is the only one that can use it and the only one that can catch the bait. Some times she will even put the shrimp on our hooks. When we are at the lake she takes control of the worms also. She is a hoot.
