Memorial day 1 hr session.

well went to the wash early this morning to wet the lines before bbq with the family. got there at 9:00 and used a tiki wave dark green with red flakes freeline (its heavy enough to go about 30 ft out.) i did this for about 10 min and no hits.I did the radius game, toss out forward and 45 degrees each side. No hits, moved along and finally landed this bad boy ( pic 1).walked up through the brush line couple min later and hit two more near the trees maybe spawning who knows? switched up to a minnow popper same game, seen chads running from something feirce so i had too. landed bass4. On my way out of the wash, one last toss and got a farewell hit and (bass 5) gave me a good fight almost broke 10lbs test line, she ducked under a weed bed and dug in deep. could have lost her but loosened up the drag and let it fight its way out of the bed. ended the session with a good 1 hour and 5 fish no double d's yet but summer is comming up. Good times though it was short.

i know what ya mean man, i use to wait and bait myself for years. Now i pretty much only use lure and plastics other then the occasional powerbait for trout. Its more fun to me, a challenege, i feel more accomplished if it was my presentation of the lure or plastic that caught the fish.

Anyways nice going out there. Always good to practice different techniques.

hit the spot around 11:30 with the boy. a quick in and out 2 hrs. met jimmy951 and his hommie chris bass fishin. real mellow dudes. sent the senkos flying and produced a good hit while shootin the breeze with jimmy. farmed a few seeing that lil hunter was running around throwing rocks in the water. i need to switch his pole out from trout fishin to bass setup..caught two for a 2 hr session. i need to buy a scale i can't tell how much this one weighs in at but it seemed the biggest i've caugt out of there..
