Default Your advice on good boats between Long Beach and Oxnard?

    Hi!

I live not too far from Marina Del Rey and am looking for a good open-party boat (3/4 or 1/2 day trips) in this area, but not too expensive... Tried to google it, but it's hard to tell which are the good ones. Any advice will be very much appreciated!

The crews on Captain Hook's boats are super friendly. I have always had good experience with them.
New Del Mar is cool too.

i recommend the new del mar out of marina del rey. go during the week if you can to avoid the crowds. great skipper, great crew. http://www.marinadelreysportfishing.com

now if you want a 3/4 day, i would go with the spitfire out of redondo. http://www.spitfiresportfishing.com

these are the two boats where ive had the best experiences on. i highly recommend. Good luck! and dont foreget to post a report.

I have been out of the So Cal area for some time. I lived out there my whole life and have gone on several Moo-Moos. If San Diego isnt too far of a drive, I've done my homework and decided that the Misson Belle out of Point Loma is a good bet. I'll be on it June 28th and hoping for YT and Bass. Let me know if you go on it. Wouldnt mind meeting you.

You guys really dont like Gentleman huh? I have been on that boat for a few times. I thought the crew was ok, not as good as Captain Hooks though. We caught our fish so it was not bad.
I know alot of you guys like Spitfire but for me, I will never go on that boat again. The crew sucks big time. We had no help whatsever.

how many times have you been on the spitfire? ive always had a good time on that boat. there was this one time tho. i cought something huge....i was fighting it for about 10 mins. i finally brought it up to color. huge hali! i was stoked  i yelled gaff! gaff! nobody came. guess what happend....lost it. i was a little pissed at first but i understood. there were about 60 people on that day and its hard for 2 deckhands to atttend to everyone. dont let one experience ruin the reputation of the boat for you......now if its happend to u more than once then thats another story.

Victor, I have only been on Spitfire once. It was so bad I didnt want to go again. NDM is always packed but I have always gotten help. The crew on Spitfire wouldnt bother helping even they saw the tangles. They just left and kept on talking.
I am sticking with NDM and Captain Hooks.

Thats like saying that you met one rude person from Long Beach so you assume everyone from Long Beach is rude
