Legg Lake

Just got back from a skunkfest at the Kern River....

Was hoping to hook into something at Legg Lake. Any pointers? Are the Cat biting yet? Are they still planting trout?

Or is it still a bassfest?

Are the sunfish near the shore again?

I REALLY REALLY WANT TO JUST HOOK INTO SOMETHING!

Got to get my years worth!

Well I'm gonna hit up the Legg this weekend. I believe by this time the sunfish may be pretty shallow and success in catching them is pretty high. For the bass mayb they're spawned out and away from the shoreline now. I don't know the place is pretty beaten and battered by Poachers so watch out for other members on the board. Most of them will tell you to not fish it because the majority of your catch will result in small fish.

There stocking cats at legg already look it up on the dfg website. I was there saturday and sunday last weekend also and did pretty good on bass. Im going to be there this weekend on saturday and sunday too. I will be fishing the middle lake.
