    Default The duct,,5/7,,,Tough Conditions,

My brother is visiting from virginia this week and he,s been hearing abought all the stripers that weve been hitting lately.

Says he,d like to give it a try,,,,SO 12 am myself,,gatblood and my brother were off to the duct!.

    1st spot,,,,,water was FLYING,,,gates were a full 15 feet above the walkway,,,SUCKED
    Try there a little anyway,,NOTHING.

Kept working our way downstream till abought the 4th spot we found some active fish
My brother hooked up 1st,,,lost him then hooked up again and landed that one.
then i lost one then i landed one.
Only 19 and 20 inchers but it sure was better then a big ole stripe down our backs!!.

Hit a cpl more spots and managed a few hits but no more landed.

Back at home by 5 30 am.

    Lures used,,,,,,,BLAZE JERKBAITS/ FLUKES
    current,,,,,,,,,,,,EXTREMELY FAST<all spots>
    WINDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!
SORRY No pics this time but weve all seen 20 inch stripers before

    THANKS

    Scott,
Congrats on the catch & put your brother on fish bro.

That's great you were able to get your Brother on some fish! WTG. You aren't kidding about the wind up there, and the gates being wide open! I was up there a couple of times in the past week and man the wind was fierce! And then to add wide open gates on top of that! I'm 0/4 in my runs on the duct since my last lineside I caught topwater up near Bakersfield. Hope to change that sometime this weekend. Again, way to tough it out Brother, congrats!

That's those little fish that you feed to your striper before you weigh them.
