When the sun's going down, and the tide's coming up, it's time to hit the surf (finally ).
Tonight's conditions: Overcast, incoming 6.3' high@ 6:55pm. Water warm, somewhat murky, and a bit of salad mixed in. Not TOO many surfers and swimmers.
Hit my close to home spot and pinned on the obligatory Camo Sandworm. Two casts into it, and no nibbles. OK, so it's early (5:30p). Third cast and zzzzzzzzzwhamozzzzzz.....Nice yellowfin croaker :woot:. Alright, this is looking pretty good. Right about this time the sandspikers show up, and ogle my fish. Nevertheless, they were nice enough to shoot me a pic with the yellowfin...
And I got one of der croak in the sand...
So, next cast, same bait but this time with a little of the ol' Unigoop...Slammo! Nice medium sized BSP....
Five casts and two fish, not too bad...I love the surf!! Couple of minutes, I'm visited by this fiesty fellow...
As the tide reached it's high point, the bite trailed off, the salad increased and so did the swimmers . Nevertheless, I'll be fishing tomorrow's tide for sure! :thumb:
This was last week...I've been out of the loop for a while, guys, and thought I'd come over and share with the FNN faithful again...
C-you out there!
