    Default Finding Gold 3/1

my dad and i decided to do some exploring up around the Kern area. I have never caught a golden before and my dad has not fished for them in over 20 years. We didnt really know where we were going. We stopped and fished a few spots until we found what we were after.

The first fish of the day and my first golden ever. This sucker was fat and good sized for these small creeks.

    A few more smaller ones

My dad ended the day with a monster. It went 10" and it was fat and had the best colors of all the other fish caught.

Picture of my dad working a nice section

I understand the secrecy that goes along with catching goldens that dont require a days hike

Did you take the SHerwin Pass to get there?
