glad to see i got a mention in the LA Times report--but actually I caught over 50 by myself. It was a pretty good opener but nothing too big. I had a 3.2, 3.1 and 2.13 and a bunch of dinks. The weather on Gull was really nice which is surprising as when I pulled into the June Lake Loop on Friday it was snowing horizontal the wind was so bad...and reports were that the weather would only worsen. It was a great surprise to wake up Sat morning to 28 degree weather WITHOUT a trace of wind. Every once in a while the winds would pick up for 15-20 minutes but for the most part it was a calm day with a high of around 48...not too bad if you are prepared for it.
