Default More fishing at Bel Marin Keys W/picts

Decided to go back out to the keys again and had better luck. Went out miday and walked a bit further towards the locks. I used chovies and swim baits was a great day just want to go where there are a wider variety of fish tomarrow. caught 4 dinks and 1 keeper, although all fish were C&R'd with sore lips was fun and glad I went with the spot it was productive and busy.

The Spot until the wind came up.

    Old spice first fish-o-the day.

His lil brother just couldnt resist.

    Best here

    And the weight.

    Till tomarrow, Lines tight.

    Cheers

Hey Bro,,,, I don't see how I missed this report when I logged on yesterday. Awesome action. At least you are hooking into some of those jailbirds. I have not had that stripe action in awhile. So you said you used chovies and swimbaits. Which did you catch most of them on? Have you tried your traps or xraps? Also what is the water temperature there?
It's been a bit cooler (ambient air temps) here, with some wind. I may take the Penny dog out today . I will let you know. Way tp represent TEAM 57 in Northern California. Are you meeting any good folks up there?
Great report!! I will have to visit up there with you when Claire has to work a family weekend in the near future.

I would guess the water temp to be around 55-65 increasing as the winds came up. I threw lots of traps, Raps and bombers at all diffrent sink and boyencey rates, the only thing i got hit on was the swimbaits and it only produced 1 fish at around 3 pounds.I am sure the tides and when they open the locks for silt runoff make for better fishing here. You know like at the lagoon in SD where we went before when it had backflow. I may venture out later today after I get changed from my church wear.oh and forgot to post this curious guy that ran up on me.
