Default Northern Cali Trip 4/9 - 4/11 with pics

I'm sorry that I can't go into too much detail cuz my buddy is going to be fishing a tourney there in a few weeks.....but I had to report something.

Lakes Fished - Almanor (slow as hell on Smallies), Antelope (slow fishing but awesome quality LMB).

Weather - Pretty much crap the whole time I was there. Cold, Rain/Snow. Wind was moderate to light (thank God!).

Lures/Baits - 3 1/2" Tubes and rip baits in Almanor for nada. Dropshot and Crankbaits in Antelope.

Top fish of the trip was 8lbs 12oz caught by yours truly. Between my brother, my buddy Mike and myself we also hit fish weighing 6lb 5oz, 6lb 1oz, 6lbs, 5lb 14oz, 5lbs 11oz, 3lb 14oz along with a few fish in the 2-3lb range.....and one rogue Smallie that went 3lbs 4oz.

Overall it was a killer trip - lots of fun and new personal best bass for all three of us.

Here are a few pics of the trip....

Thanks for the report and pics. I'm only 45 minutes north of Almanor and I've only fished Antelope for catfish years ago. We don't even get our bass stuff out of the closet until may up here but you got out there and proved us wrong. going to have to get that trolling motor mounted and get with it. Forget Shasta.
