    Default Need new Line

So with the Salt Scene already here and all my reels empty of any line except some spectra im kinda wondering what to get. I only got three setups so im kinda debating. Heres what I was thinking of goin with....

Daiwa Saltiga 30 = 25lb - surface iron and jig rod

Calcutta 700TE = maybe 20lb for live bait?????

Avet LX 2speed = 30 or maybe even 40 - dropperloop and yoyo???

Any suggestions. Is 20 to light or should I do 30 for the live bait rod?

i would put 20lb izor on the calcutta, 30lb izor on the saltiga, and 40lb izor on the LX.

    good luck out there.

Easiest solution would be to get more salt setup's. That way you have 15, 20, 25, 30 and 40# covered.

20 or 25 on the Calcutta 700. Thats a decent size reel and if you have spectra. You can fish 25 for like Albacore on it easily.

The Saltiga 30. That maybe pushing it with 30lbs. If it's a 30T then I would fish it 30lbs no problem.

The LX is a defintely a 40lbs Line for Yo Yo or Dropper Loop.

Personally I like P-Line. But I think best bang for the Buck is Trilene Big Game.

    Braid them all.
    50lb on the Calcutta.
    65lb on the Saltiga.
    80lb on the LX.

Ande line works i think better than izorline here is why. I hooked and landed a 138 lb bluefin on Ande 30. 12 other anglers hooked up and only two of us was still going. 45 minutes into the battle the dude with other fish snapped line he had a Penn Senator. I was using a Diawa 30s and aSabre stroker rod 18 trips around the boar 1 hour and 15 minutes later a two gaffer. Ande is a great price and i have never had any issues on it. Other choice would be yo zuri floro its pricey but very strong.

Your line weight to Reel selection is fine...

    As stated..

    "Best Bang for the buck"

    BIG GAME...

Quality line and cheap enough to change often....
That is what I use for anything over 8#....

If cost was not an Issue, Izorline XXX....
