Nope, but I did go on a beer run.

My local liquor store @ around 11:00 PM. The exact location & the method used to get there are my secret. I don't want lurkers to take advantage.

As for the grunion runs I've been out 3 times in my life on different beaches and only saw them spawning once. I guess it's just hit or miss.

Hit and miss is right! One thing I have learned and it makes some sense is that the grunion send out a scout fish or two and if they see anything threatening (not just people with 5 gallon buckets) they don't come to shore in that spot. My only encounter with grunion was by accident. Good luck, be stealthy, avoid humans.
