Aggressive lingcod

This guy is spearfishing, and a ling is trying to steal his catch!

Ive never seen footage of a ling like this.

I never wasted my time spearing little rockfish if there were Lings around.

Maybe I should have cruised over the bottom waving a olive rockfish or sheepshead all over the place.

Was the "Ling" spared because it was out of season?........&#4 6;.. BUT

if the "Ling" was out of season, wouldn't the "Olive" be out of season also?... or are they under different regulations?.....

Cool video. It kinda looks like a calico.

Divers are subject to the ling closure, but not other fish in the RGC complex. But they can't have any fishing gear on the boat, other than spearfishing gear.
