Very Slow...The Flats 03/21/2009
Arrived at the Vine at 5:45am. Charles and I see Timster. We said our hellos. Asked about Patrick. He was doing an evening shift because someone was on vacation. When my line started moving further up I saw Mitz. He said"You're late!" I said I know. Stopped at the shop and Charles bought beer for later. I wanted to set up around the dock area,but there were lots of Peeps already there. So I went over to my regular spot, The Flats. It was 6:30am when we finished setting up, we waited and waited. While we were waiting we took a couple of pics of ourselves:

Later on, some friends came by:
Timster and The Magic Man Mitz...
They stayed about 20 minutes.
So right after they left I get a bite,my bell goes off! I run over to set the hook and I felt him spit the bait out! It's Hitts secret bait I borrowed. I sprayed the secret bait with bang and threw it back out. about 20 minutes later,it hits the secret bait again,the trout started coming in freely,I said it feels little. When I said that! The fish shot off to the right! It felt big then! I couldn't run with him because of brush. So he kept running until my line snapped! Bummer!
So we move our lines further down to the left and nothing. Then to the right. Finally my bell going off very lightly,so I set the hook and fish-on. Got him in a beautiful rainbow Trout!
2:15pm, Patrick came by I wave at him and he kept going. I spoke to him later and he said he didn't see me. Saw Jimmy at the shop before I left.
Results: 1 Rainbow Trout
We tried combos of everything,live bait,plastics,Hitts secret bait,sprays,dips,very little love for a lot of peeps on the Flats.
