Default Tides and 3/4 day boat

    Hi Everyone,

Do the tides matter as much on the half day and larger boats as far as catching goes? I usually fish from a small boat or surf fish and the tides do matter. I am thinking of going out on the spitfire this Fri. twilight session and the tides "look good" for fishing. Does it matter as much?

I've always been more of the "if the weather looks good, let's go fishing" type.

Outside of harbors, current matters more than tides, unless you are fishing off shore for the pelagic type then it is just whatever you get.. And there is no current predictions, so it's always a crap shoot.
