    Default E21 rods

Just recieved my first Carrot stix, and I must say I am impressed with the weight and the split grip. But here is where my delima begins. This rod is a 7ft 3 mh, and I plan on fishing my hula grubs with the rod. Which reel would you pair up with this rod? Ive been thinking about using my high speed zillion or the fuego. Any suggestions?

Sounds like you're a Daiwa guy. I really don't have too much experience with them, but I'd personally use a Curado E7.

How do you fish your hula grubs? What is the wait your throwing? Either reel is fine the zillion or fuego. I have them both and they cast great. If your throwing lighter baits I would suggest the sol us version or japan alphas, 103, 103r or pixy.

Match up your Carrot Stix w/ the Fuego, it's an ounce lighter than the Zillion.

I have the 6'9" MH Classic Boyd Duckett w/ my left hand Fuego on it & it balances very nicely.

I got the 7.1:1 Zillion b/c reel on the 6'9" MH Zillion rod. I want the higher speed for frogs & when I want to bring back a plastic lure for another cast.

I handled one for the first time yesterday and it is mighty impressive! I think
the split grip is made of hypalon instead of EVA. Feels great and super light.
for your application, I would recommend an E7 or an Alphas 103.
