Reds Meadow/ Sotcher Area?
Going up to pitch a tent at Convict with the family next week(6/20 - 6/24), and I heard the road down to Reds Meadow/ Devils Postpile is open. Usually when we go, the road is closed. Any confirmation of the road being open? Just wondering if anybody has any good info on the bite down there, both lakes and streams. Anything that is a must to check out while we're down there?

Hi, we were in Mammoth last week, the road was open. This link might help you. We didn't fish Sotcher or Starkweather this year, we didn't think it would be worth the time and money to fish on a short weekend. There were higher level lakes we wanted to hit instead. We fished it last October, it was pretty good fishing then. Good luck!
