caught 3 more through out the whole day....that was it.

at least you got something, i was looking all around, no one was catching anything. Except for some dudes fishing from a point. Thats it.
oh and some guys fishing next to us that landed like 3 2#ers, i guess the trout happened to swim by.
i wouldn't pay for a derby ever again. its all business. Thats my view. Id rather fish prado in the weekdays.

The winning fish weighed in at 9 lbs. 12 oz. I was there and yeah it was insanely crazy and crowded. Despite the fact that we got a less than great spot (like between a bunch of reeds), both my boyfriend and I caught 1 apiece. They were a nice 16" (the both of them). I've been sick with a bad cold all week (started around derby time) and have not posted my report yet. I'm feeling much better and will get those photos off my camera shortly.
