    The Phenix and G.Loomis are a little bit out of your price range, but $ for $
    you cannot beat the compres in just about any category. You can find
    them at 95% of local tackle shops and Bass Pro shop. I would go to Longfin
    because they have the compres and many other rods that you could test out
    if you need to.

    I got a St. Croix Triumph 5'6 with a 750 Semetrye Shimano and I love it. It is light with a lot of action, they all feel pretty big with it. I bought it last year from Bass Pro in Rancho and I think it was only $75 or $80. I use it from rivers and Lakes.
