    Step 1.

Find out the types of areas the bass will be staging in before the spawn.

    Step 2.

Grab yourself a nice topographic map and find the areas in Puddingstone that match the research that you've done above.

    Step 3.

Go to the lake, and fish these areas.

look shallow with your polarized sunglasses and pop-lock and drop a jig wherever you see'em.

Hell yeah the Tubo works. Drop it on the bed, give it a little slack, and let the shrimp float up. Then when the bass gets agitated pull it back slow into the sinker. Repeat till the fish is pissed, then reel out slow and throw something like a soft plastic or jig on the bed and watch them annihilate it. And dont be afraid to go big and aggressive. These fish see a lot of finese baits during the spawn. Throw a jig with a big trailer or something like a Mattlures on the bed and fish it patiently. You'll get good results if you have the patience

Darkshadow: that was a great link to that pre-spawn article. I assume that it will be different at each lake - especially with the depth of DVL vs. Skinner. We just all hope that it gets here soon!
